MCM Comic Con is gearing up to take the West Midlands by storm with our next Birmingham pop culture extravaganza!

Taking place at the NEC on 18-19 November, MCM Birmingham Comic Con will feature everything from comics, movies, games and sci-fi to cosplay, anime, steampunk and online video.

Over in our guest zone, MCM are proud to present the only actor to appear in all eight Star Wars episodes – none other than C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels! The Star Wars legend joins our special guest line-up as we eagerly await the December release of the franchise’s latest big screen outing, The Last Jedi.

Joining him over the weekend is Olivier and BAFTA-winning actor David Bradley – probably best known for playing grumpy Hogwarts caretaker Argus Filch in the Harry Potter movies and villainous nobleman Lord Walder Frey in HBO hit Game of Thrones, alongside fellow Harry Potter actor Guy Henry, best known for his appearances in Star Wars and long-running role in popular medical drama Holby City.

MCM Birmingham Comic Con will also play host to a time-travelling trio from the classic days of Doctor Who when the pop culture event returns to the NEC, in the form of Fifth Doctor Peter Davison and two of his companions, Janet Fielding (Tegan) and Sarah Sutton (Nyssa), while the voice of The Wombles, Doctor Who star and all-round national treasure Bernard Cribbins, will be meeting fans at the show.

If that wasn’t enough, Star Trek star Denise Crosby (also The Walking Dead and The New Adventures of Superman) and Keith Allen, most famously known for his roles in Robin Hood and Kingsman: The Golden Circle, will be among the sci-fi special guests attending the winter edition of MCM Birmingham Comic Con this month.

For animation fans, special anime guest and voice acting talent Veronica Taylor, known for her awesome roles in Pokémon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Slayers, will be appearing at the show. Not only will this year’s pop-culture pros be available for Photo Sessions and Autograph Signings, but they’ll be talking behind the scenes gossip, teasing upcoming plots, and answering questions from the audience. Watch this space for more guests to be announced! (See the full line-up here)

Elsewhere at MCM Birmingham Comic Con, you’ll find a host of amazing comic book artists and witers, Asian culture celebrations, steampunk and children’s entertainment.

And then, of course, there are the awesome exhibitors and retailers, including movie studios, videogame and comic book publishers, anime and manga distributors, and much, much more.
